(Why the hell seven? Lucky number.) Remember this is just my opinion if you don’t like it you don’t have to read it. And there
might be a few spoilers for plot points so be warned. On with the review!

(I own none of the images. You can find them all on the tfwiki.)

7. Transformers Animated Swindle He might not be on anyone else’s list but he’s on mine. I find him funny, charming, and just the right kind of sleazy. Something tells me he’d sell you your own mother if he could. But at the same time I can’t seem to hate him. He’s not annoying but emphasizes all the Decepticon values while watching out for number one. I don’t enjoy him in any other rendition but I feel like the Animated universe did him justice.

6. More Than Meets the Eye Tarn If you don’t read More Than Meets the Eye than you probably won’t get it. He starts off as nothing but a loyal zealot to the Decepticon cause, so much so he did that to his face. Though it is hinted at it might be a mask. Alone that might not be that intriguing. Now add in he’s the leader of the DJD and how the comics flush him out. Even all the gore and killing bothers him! Not to mention… He was so heartbroken when he learned Megatron switched teams. Poor guy… I really felt for him. But then he got over his trouble and rose up. To possibly be the next big Decepticon threat? He’s rallying cons together to go after Megatron. I can’t wait to see what happens.

5. Shockwave… Can you blame me? I’ve never really seen a Shockwave I didn’t like or outright love. In Prime he’s the right kind
of threatening and mad scientist. Making Predaking and putting Starscream in his place. Animated he made sure to infiltrate the Autobots and get pretty high up there before he was caught. Though I hated how he crushed Blur but it does show his ruthlessness. In the comics he was freaking brainwashed after being a good and decent Senator. Then he outright tries to destroy the universe and all life as we know it. Yeah… You can’t really top that. Not to mention pretty much every other incarnation of him is responsible for making the Dinobots and breaking all ethical rules. I’ve always kind of wanted to see a universe where he was the leader instead of Megatron. Oh the logic!

(This sure is morbid. Is it weird I love him even more now? Shockwave, you keep being you.)

4. Soundwave… Just Soundwave He’s a lot like Shockwave in that I don’t really dislike any version of him. Animated sort of made him a weak character but he could control everyone’s minds and play guitar so kudos there. Prime all he did was say one line. What a badass. And in the comics there are two scenes I love him in. One where he hears Megatron screaming and it freaks him out, showing he has emotions. And one where Ravage collapses and he holds him and looks generally worried as he asks for someone to help him. What a sweetie. Not to mention his unwavering loyalty to Megatron. Though in the original movie he did kind of stay silent when Starscream booted Megatron out of Astrotrain. Uh… He dropped the ball there but other than that I say he has a flawless record.

3. Transformers Prime Knockout This guy’s voice… Is fantastic. I love the character. Everything about him. He loves how he looks, and while you think it would get old, he was written in such a manner that it just remains funny. He’s like Starscream in that he will fight but is not above running away when he realizes he can’t win. He and Starscream in that universe are BFFs and you can’t tell me any different. Not to mention it is shown Knockout has emotion outside himself in that he hates Silas for using Breakdown’s corpse as a new body. But he pays him back. Not to mention he’s one of the few cons who have actually switched to the bots side and I believe it. His personality just works no matter what side he’s on. Stay fabulous Knockout. And I hope this isn’t the last time I see him. (He’s in the comics now… Jumps for joy.)

(One of the greatest parts in the entire series.)

2. More Than Meets the Eye Megatron Holy cow… Megatron as an Autobot. Geez. I never thought I’d see the day but it somehow works. This Megatron was the brute who ruled the Decepticons but now… He kind of reminds me of an old man and he knows it. He admits he’s not in his prime anymore. This Megs is also more reflective. He looks back and noted he wanted to change things for the better. But he sees how he lost his way and instead went for the tyrannical route. Not to mention he used to write poetry and is helping the Autobots. We’ll see how long that lasts but still. I believe in you Megatron. Plus, there was the one scene in the comics where he sees how many lives he’s taken. I don’t even know how the Necrobot had that many flowers. The look on the ex-tyrants face is priceless and makes me want to hug him.

1. More Than Meets the Eye Starscream Way to go Screamer. You finally made it to the top. Now I wonder where you’ll go with your dream. I know you’re all about yourself but he shows there’s a little hope for him. Maybe Windblade can be a good influence because he actually saves her at a certain point which means he can look at someone else besides himself. Although I do wonder how long he will stay in power and all that. To his credit ruling Cybertron can’t be easy. But please Screamer stay strong. If you’re dealing with other worlds like Caminus and Velocitron you’re gonna need all the help you can get. (Don’t mess things up even more with Windblade pal. You might have a real shot. For once. Well, with someone besides me.)
